Our approach at Seasons Nursery is unique. We believe that there is no one perfect “method” (traditional or otherwise) with which to teach children. All children are different, all unique, and with this in mind we have blended the most beneficial elements of traditional nursery education with nurturing influences to create the best standard of daycare in the Stroud and Stonehouse area.
A Unique Approach to Childcare and Daycare
Our philosophy at Seasons Nursery balances the requirements of the Early Years Foundations Stage with other educational theories to create a warm, calm and nurturing environment in which children have the freedom to explore, play and learn. Drawing on the influences from theorists such as Steiner, Montessori and the RIE approach, we have developed our kindergarten to reflect unique philosophy, creating a nurturing environment in which we believe children will develop the skills needed to be ready for formal education. By the time our children move from nursery care on to school, they are confident and independent, have a positive self-image and self-esteem, and have learned the necessary skills to benefit from formal education with a love for learning that will last a life time.
Our environment at the kindergarten
Our approach means we look different, because our nursery is situated in a log cabin and full of resources based on natural materials. It means we act differently, with maximum importance given to outside play via special gardens devoted to each age group that are accessible at all times. Finally, it means we treat children differently, allowing them to be themselves; prospering and growing in their own way.
We work to ensure that all of our staff are fully qualified, so that we can provide the very best care and learning experiences for your child. Those learning experiences will closely follow the interests of the child and be supported by our dedicated daycare staff.
